Join us for a guided collage workshop for memory and remembrance
This event is in collaboration with the DC Death Collective.
This gentle collage workshop, facilitated by collage artist Ray Orr, invites you to honor and remember someone you love who has passed. Participants are encouraged to bring a photograph of their loved one and/or paper ephemera that belonged to them or evokes their memory. Think: letters, notes, textures, colors, or symbols.
Together, we’ll use collage and memory to create a finished piece of art that honors your loved one, intended for you to frame at home.
The workshop is facilitated with intention and spaciousness, offering a calm, supportive environment where you’re welcome to move at your own pace. While the experience is personal, you’ll be creating alongside others in a quiet community, with no pressure to share. No prior art experience is needed.
